I wanted to approach this assignment without having an exact plan on what each piece should resemble, instead I cut the black paper out randomly and placed them on the white paper. I focused on the relationship between the white and black paper trying to keep a balance between the two. In the end I felt the horizontal piece gave off the emotion of strict and boring, where as the diagonal and curved lines made for a more exciting and care-free piece to look at. The combination piece was my least favorite of them all because I felt it was chaotic to combine the different types of line.
